The first new introduction to Tropico 6 is the Era system, whereby you will play through four different eras throughout history: Colonial, World Wars, Cold Wars, and Modern times.

Thankfully, it's not always about building a place or making jobs, but it can also involve signing edicts into effect, leveling those edicts up, or establishing a specific trade route.Ĭitizens will make demands of you that will increase their political standing with you, and this comes from factions, superpowers, and groups - and will all be era-specific. Citizens will make demands of you that will increase their political standing with you, and this comes from factions, superpowers, and groups - and will all be era-specific. No matter which mode you are playing in, there will be demands and objectives that you will need to meet throughout the course of your playtime. Yes, you can be a dictator - which is always fun - but you can also be a benevolent leader, always putting the needs, hopes, and demands of his/her people first. Tropico 6 gives players a rather different gameplay experience than before, and your gameplay choice is heavily noted as you progress. Kalypso Media were generous enough to let us take control of El Presidente, and let's just say that El Presidente was rather busy.
